Colorado Springs man arrested after jumping from second floor of parking garage

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) — A man was arrested after jumping from the second floor of a downtown Colorado Springs parking garage while chasing police.

John Miner, 27, was arrested after police say they were called to the area of ​​Kiowa St. and N. Tejon about an assault at around 2:45 a.m. Saturday morning. When they arrived, police say Miner immediately took off running toward the city bus station. Investigators say Miner ran to the second floor of the garage and jumped from there to escape.

Officers were able to arrest him immediately after he used a less lethal tool. The miner was treated for minor injuries and arrested for his suspected role in the unrest.
