Weather of the first warning: The changeable weather on Tuesday will become more consistent on Wednesday

ROCHESTER, NY — A combination of clouds, sunshine and showers made for an “interesting” day of weather in western New York State. Those scattered showers and even some thunderstorms will continue through Tuesday evening. Then, late Tuesday night and early Wednesday, a cold front will slowly move across the area. This will bring some cooler and much drier weather to the region. The next few days will be pleasant, but temperatures will be well below normal on Wednesday and Thursday. Then we can finally look forward to some consistency of pleasant weather, which will likely last through most of the weekend.

There will be passing showers and possibly thunderstorms on Tuesday evening. Any showers should end before midnight. The low will be just under 10 degrees. There could be a morning shower well south of Rochester on Wednesday, but otherwise the skies will be partly sunny. The high will be just under 18 degrees. There will be more sunshine on Thursday and the temperature will stay just under 18 degrees. At night, temperatures will rise to just under 9 degrees.

The warming trend begins on Friday with temperatures around 21 degrees and will reach the 26 degree mark by the end of the weekend.
