Softball camp planned for next week in Houston

The Houston Lady Tigers’ annual softball camp will be held Wednesday through Friday, May 29-31.

Houston High School head softball coach Jim Moore and several assistants will lead sessions for players in grades 3-5 from 9-10:30 a.m. and for players in grades 6-8 from 10:30 a.m.-noon .

Wednesday’s session at Carter Field will cover fielding, throwing and fundamentals, while Thursday’s session at Piney River Hitting Facility will cover hitting (participants must meet at Carter Field before being bused to the facility) and Friday’s session at Carter Field will include baserunning and a scrimmage.
