On Tuesday, July 9, Chris Climes, a 6’2″, 285 pound defensive tackle from Elizabeth Forward, committed to the University at Buffalo.

Climes, a three-star player, was a force on the defensive side of the ball for Elizabeth Forward, recording 18 sacks, 27 tackles for loss, 45 total tackles and three pass deflections.

He received offers from eight universities, including Akron, Bowling Green, Buffalo, Dartmouth, Eastern Michigan, Harvard, Miami of Ohio and Toledo. He also took two unofficial visits to Pitt and Michigan State.

At that position, Climes was ranked 20th overall in the state according to Rivals.
