16-year-old boy hit by car after violent attack in northwest Chicago

CHICAGO (CBS) – A 16-year-old boy was hospitalized after being attacked and hit by a car in the northwest of the city on Friday evening.

Chicago police said the boy was beaten by several other men on the street in the area of ​​7300 West Gregory Street around 11:45 p.m.

The group then got into a white sedan and the driver hit the victim while they fled the scene in an unknown direction.

The victim suffered a broken jaw and a ruptured lung, among other injuries. He was taken to Lutheran General Hospital in critical condition.

No one has been in custody since Saturday.

Area 5 detectives are investigating the circumstances of the incident.
