The second driver was arrested in a fatal crash on Morrison Drive and is expected in bond court Tuesday afternoon

CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – A second man charged in the fatal hit-and-run of two young women from upstate South Carolina is expected to appear before a bond court judge Tuesday afternoon.

Seth Alan Gilbert William Carlson, 32, was arrested Monday on two counts of vehicular manslaughter and leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death.


He is housed at the Al Cannon Detention Center.

Charleston Police Department detectives, who continued to investigate the April 28 accident, followed up on leads and reviewed recently obtained surveillance footage from the South Carolina Ports Authority that showed the victims, Lizzy Zito and Arianna Gamber, both 20, at first Carlson’s Chevrolet truck was struck on Morrison Drive at 1:12 a.m

About 30 minutes later, they were struck again by an Acura TL driven by Max David Gentilin.

Carlson’s truck was found abandoned in West Ashley after police said he reportedly crashed into a ditch and ran away.

Gentilin was arrested on April 30 after turning himself in to authorities. He was charged with two counts of leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death. Gentilin was given a $300,000 bond and released from the Charleston County Detention Center.

Lt. Anthony Gibson of Charleston PD said the investigation is ongoing and noted additional charges are expected.
