State police attempt to identify four suspects in ‘discrimination incident’ in South Blooming Grove

State police are asking for the public’s help in identifying four suspects wanted in connection with a “bias-related” incident and property damage investigation at a construction site in South Blooming Grove.

According to authorities, the group was seen riding their dirt bikes on Clove Road near a housing project called “Clovewood” around 7 p.m. on Wednesday. Sources said a swastika was found at the site.

Wendy Cedar, executive director of the Jewish Federation of Greater Orange County, said the alleged behavior was unacceptable.

“It is blind hatred and it is terrible to live in this environment,” says Cedar.

Local resident Chris Maderia says he and other villagers are skeptical about what might have happened.

“It just doesn’t make sense to me,” Maderia said. “Someone jumping over a fence to paint a swastika on something no one will see. It just doesn’t sound like it’s worth the effort.”

“A swastika has nothing to do with that. It openly shows hatred towards a group of people and has nothing to do with housing,” says Cedar.

State police are asking anyone with information about the incident to call them at 845-782-7574 and reference case number 24*363048.
