Calling all book lovers in Atlanta! Reading isn’t really a group activity, and readers looking to make new friends or find community may struggle to do so…until now! The Silent Book Club now has a chapter in Atlanta, perfect for any book lovers looking for community!

What is the Silent Book Club of Atlanta?

The premise of Silent Book Club is very simple: you read quietly, then mingle with other readers, all in a local Atlanta location! SBC’s goal is to encourage community and allow readers to explore the city of Atlanta, while doing their favorite activity: reading!

They state on their website: “We hope you will try us and discover not only new friends, but also a new favorite place in our city. »

How does the Silent Book Club work?

Basically, the club finds itself three times a month in different cute places around the city! From breweries to cafes, they always find a new place to host!

Here’s how they break down the events:

• 1:00 p.m. – Arrival and installation
• 1:30 p.m. – Silent reading time
• 2:30 p.m. – Meetings and discussions

You can always find their hangouts on their Instagram, @atlsilentbookclub! These events are FREE to attend and no RSVP is necessary. Just show up with your favorite book and get ready to read.
