LEE COUNTY, SC (WOLO) – The Lee County Sheriff’s Office has arrested two people in connection with several shootings in Lee County, the Sheriff’s Office announced.

On April 19, investigators responded to a shooting incident on Raccoon Road where a home containing seven people was shot multiple times. No one was reported injured in the shooting.

On May 9, Lee County officers responded to a shooting on Herbert Lane in which a home containing six people was shot 49 times, according to the LCSO.

During the shooting, an adult was hit multiple times and sustained injuries that were treated.

And then a 9-month-old baby was hit by gunfire. The baby, named Benjamin Griffin III, died May 22 from his injuries, Lee County officials say.

Additionally, police responded to a shooting incident on Sumter Highway on May 27, where a person was shot while in the parking lot of a convenience store, officials say.

The victim was not struck by gunfire but suffered minor injuries from debris created by the shooting. Investigators say two arrests were made during the investigation of each shooting.

Roshad Wilson, 25, and Rayquawn Commander, 18, both of Lee County, were charged with one count of murder, 13 counts of attempted murder, two counts of discharging firearms into a dwelling and three counts of possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

Wilson was taken into custody at his home and Commander was taken into custody in Heflin, Alabama.
