Jury convicts man of sexually abusing children | News

A man faces life in prison after a jury found him guilty of two counts of sexually abusing children.

Prosecutors say 23-year-old Ajay Ajay met the 13-year-old victim in October 2022 while spending time at the 7-Eleven store where Ajay worked. Eventually, they say, he took the victim to his apartment and sexually assaulted her.

The jury found him guilty on both counts of sexual abuse of a child under 14 and attempted sexual abuse of a child under 14.

Sentencing is scheduled for July 22, 2024. Ajay faces a life sentence in prison with the possibility of parole after 35 years.
