9:00 a.m.:

We are monitoring coastal showers and the chance of thunderstorms just east of Angleton near I-45 and I-10.

Noon:

We are tracking isolated showers on I-45 near Conroe and Huntsville.

3:00 p.m.:

We are tracking thunderstorms near Angleton and Sugar Land.

4:00 p.m.:

Followed by another round of rain between I-45 and I-10.

5 p.m.:

Monitoring showers near I-10 near Winnie.

The wet weather is the result of a sea breeze and a cold front coming from the north. The front is weak and will take its time to descend towards the south until mid-week. As it moves south, showers and thunderstorms are likely to occur again Tuesday and Wednesday.

Tropical outlook:

The Atlantic is calm, but there is an area of ​​rich tropical moisture that will continue to move toward the Gulf of Mexico late next week. Southeast Texas may see an uptick in showers and storms through June 19 as a large area of ​​low pressure develops.

The temperature range for the next 10 days is in the low to mid 90s, with mornings in the mid to upper 70s. Rain chances early in the week are far from zero, with the best chance for scattered and strong storms overnight Tuesday into Wednesday.
