Police search for man who sexually assaulted teenager on MD bus

Investigators say the man was last seen getting off the bus at the corner of Connecticut Avenue and University Boulevard West in Kensington.

SILVER SPRING, Maryland – Montgomery County police are searching for a man they say sexually assaulted a teenager on a ride-on bus in Silver Spring. Investigators fear there may be more victims who have not yet come forward to police.

On Wednesday, May 22, shortly before 8 p.m., officers responded to investigate a sexual assault that occurred on a bus on Veirs Mill Road at the Wheaton Metro turnaround loop.

A teenager reported to officers that a man wearing a red Washington Nationals cap, gray shorts and a Winnie the Pooh t-shirt exposed himself and touched her.

Investigators say the man was last seen getting off the bus at the corner of Connecticut Avenue and University Boulevard West in Kensington.

Police have released photos of the man in the hope that the public’s help will enable him to be identified and located.
