Big energy Mack! Veteran WR Hollins makes his voice heard during Buffalo Bills OTAs

The Buffalo Bills’ revamped receiving corps features plenty of new voices, and none have been more visible than veteran Mack Hollins so far this spring.

“Mack is a guy who brings crazy juice every day,” said wide receiver Khalil Shakir, who is the only Bills returnee to ever catch a pass from quarterback Josh Allen in an NFL game.

Hollins, who tasted a Super Bowl victory as a rookie with the Philadelphia Eagles, is now in his fifth different NFL organization. The 2017 fourth-round pick made his presence felt during OTAs, with Shakir and Allen both taking notice.

“When he steps on that field, he’s in go mode,” said Shakir, who threw for touchdowns in both Bills’ playoff games last year. “I think in our front office right now, he’s probably the most vocal. He just brings energy, brings juice, talks s***, whatever it is, he’s great.”

While speaking to reporters after a Phase 3 OTA practice at Orchard Park, Allen singled out the 30-year-old Hollins.

“I appreciate the guys for their hard work and the type of presence they have, especially Mack Hollins,” Allen said. “Again, the guy pushing guys right now. He talks well. He talks dirty too. He’s very realistic. I appreciate the edge he brings to this room right now and how much he pushed these guys and how these other guys responded.”

It appears Hollins could become more than a core special player for the Bills in 2024.
