Shocking Zoom court hearing

In a video that has since gone viral, the call recording shows Harris joining while sitting in a moving car.

In the video, a shocked-looking judge, Cedric Simpson, asked: “Mr. Harris, are you driving?”

Harris replied:

“Actually, I’m just driving to my doctor’s office. Just give me a second.”

As Harris parked the car on video, Simpson smiled and laughed in disbelief.

After Harris parked, Simpson confirmed that Harris was a “revoked driver” who had just been caught driving without a license.

When Simpson again clarified that he did not have a license, Harris’s mouth fell open and he seemed to understand what he had just done on camera.

“I don’t even know why he would do that,” Simpson said after a pause before revoking Harris’s bail and ordering him to turn himself in at the Washtenaw County Jail by 6 p.m. that day. Failure to turn himself in would result in a no-bail warrant being issued.

As Simpson spoke and laid out his terms, Harris said nothing, but seemed to have come to the painful realization of what his driving without a license had just done.
