Boston officers arrest suspect in domestic violence incident

BOSTON – Officers from the Boston Police Department’s E-5 (Roslindale/West Roxbury) District arrested a male suspect in possession of a firearm, highlighting the dangerous nature of domestic violence calls.

Domestic violence calls are among the most dangerous emergency calls that Boston Police face on a daily basis.

The incident underscores the department’s ongoing efforts to address and combat domestic violence in the community.

The Boston Police Department stresses that there is no excuse for domestic violence and encourages individuals who need help or safety plans to seek support.

In case of emergency, individuals are strongly encouraged to call 911.

For non-emergency domestic violence cases, community members can report incidents anonymously by calling the CrimeStoppers hotline at 1 (800) 494-TIPS or texting the word “TIP” to CRIME (27463).

The department assures that the identities of those assisting in such cases will be protected.
