Homicide Investigation at 2000 W. Northwest Highway – DPD Beat

On May 19, 2024, at approximately 2:45 a.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 2000 block of W. Northwest Highway. The preliminary investigation revealed that when officers arrived, they found 34-year-old Jamal Cooksey lying in a parking lot shot to death. Dallas Fire Rescue responded to the scene and transported Cooksey to a local hospital where he died.

There is currently no description of the suspect.
