Sister Wives’ Janelle Brown and Kody Brown’s plural marriage was anything but conventional before their 2022 split. Janelle and Kody’s lives were intertwined long before they tied the knot in 1993. Janelle’s late mother, Sheryl Brown, and Kody’s father, William Winn Brown, were married for years before William’s death in 2013, which (…)

Amid all the family turmoil, the Coyote Pass property has remained a point of contention for everyone. Janelle, however, revealed during the Season 19 premiere on September 15 that she is considering moving to Montana with her oldest daughter, Maddie, 28, and her family.

“What changed my mind (about the Arizona territory) was when I went with Maddie to look in Montana and I was like, ‘Oh, I could get that somewhere else,'” Janelle tells Christine on the upcoming episode of TLC.

Christine reveals that it’s a “no brainer” for Janelle to live with Maddie in Montana rather than “living in Coyote Pass with a house and who knows, maybe Kody and Robyn. Maybe Meri will have a house there too? No.”

Kody Brown and Janelle Brown shared a lot of love before their 2022 split, including raising their six children. Janelle seems ready to put Kody and Arizona in the rearview mirror, but legally handing over her land ownership isn’t easy.

“I have no legal right to make any claim on Kody’s assets. We’re not legally married,” she confesses. “It’s not like I call a lawyer and say, ‘I have to divorce this person.’ No, it’s really complicated because there’s no legal marriage.”

Despite the land hiccup, Janelle tells Christine that she’s over her marriage to Kody. “He hasn’t talked to me in a really long time,” Janelle explains, noting that the exes communicate via text messages.

Although Janelle admits she didn’t say the words “it’s over,” she says he doesn’t see it at all. “He’s avoiding me,” she adds.

Sister Wives airs on TLC Sundays at 10 p.m. ET.
