10,000 Free Scoops of Ice Cream to be Distributed in Buffalo, New York

Grab the kids and head to downtown Buffalo on Thursday to grab one of the 10,000 free scoops of ice cream that will be given away.

Moose Tracks Ice Cream is hosting its 10,000 Scoop Challenge in downtown Buffalo on Thursday, July 11 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The company hopes to serve 10,000 scoops of Hershey’s Moose Tracks ice cream for FREE and host the world’s largest free ice cream event.

As part of the event, Moose Tracks will donate $1 to FeedMore WNY for every scoop of ice cream served, in hopes of raising $10,000 in just four hours.

According to their website, the 10,000 Scoop Challenge has been a summer tradition since 2010 and since then the company has visited over 50 cities across the United States and raised over $500,000 to support vital community programs.

This year, the 10,000 Scoop Challenge has already visited Tampa City, Florida, and Traverse City, Michigan. After Buffalo, the 10,000 Scoop Challenge will end its summer tour this year in Boston, Massachusetts.

You can participate in the event by stopping by Lafayette Square on Thursday, July 11 between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Every scoop of Moose Tracks ice cream distributed will be free.

Moose Tracks Ice Cream is a combination of Moose Tracks fudge and peanut butter cups swirled into vanilla ice cream.
