Man and dog die after house fire in Greene Co. | WJHL

GREENE COUNTY, Tenn. (WJHL) – Multiple agencies are investigating a deadly fire that occurred Tuesday night in Greene County.

According to the Greene County Sheriff’s Department, firefighters responded to a burning trailer on Lobo Loop around 6:15 p.m.


Officers from the Greene County Sheriff’s Department arrived on scene and were informed by a neighbor that someone might be in the building.

When rescue workers entered the house, they discovered the bodies of a man and a dog.

The victim was identified as 31-year-old William Arrowood. Officials said he was a resident of the home.

His body was sent to ETSU’s William L. Jenkins Forensic Center for an autopsy.

The GCSD Criminal Investigation and Fire Investigation Units, along with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation’s Fire Investigation Division, are investigating the cause of the fire.
