Man allegedly raped two-year-old

A Statesboro man was arrested Wednesday on charges of raping a 2-year-old child. Chandler Zackeary Powell, 25, of Sandy Way, is charged with rape, aggravated child abuse, child molestation and enticement of a child for an indecent purpose, Statesboro Deputy Police Chief Rob Bryan said. Police were notified Wednesday of the possible child abuse incident at a Sandy Way home, he said.
