Jonathan Alexander talks releasing the Texans schedule and prime-time opponents

Houston Chronicle writer Jonathan Alexander joins Next Up to review the Houston Texans’ regular season schedule.

The defending AFC South champions will begin their season on the road against a division opponent, the Indianapolis Colts. The Texans’ first primetime game will be in Week 2 against the Chicago Bears on Sunday Night Football. “They should be able to get going quickly,” Alexander said.

The Texans get a late bye in Week 14, then face the Miami Dolphins, Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens back-to-back. “It gets really difficult in the second half.” The Texans will host the Ravens on Christmas Day and the broadcast will be on Netflix.
