Tuolumne County will test the emergency alert system on Tuesday at 1 p.m. | News

Everbridge uses landlines, cell phone numbers and email to notify the public of emergencies. Tuolumne County’s system contains 93,210 records of various phone numbers, Dore Bietz, the county’s OES deputy director, said Monday.

According to the county’s OES, Tuolumne County has more than 22,500 landlines registered in its Everbridge mass notification system, which the county uses during disasters such as the 2021 Washington fire and other emergencies.

Tuolumne County’s public information number – (209) 533-5151 – is accepting non-emergency calls about the Everbridge testing, according to the county’s OES.
