Man arrested after abuse incident at Buffalo’s Mariner Towers

A Buffalo man was arrested Saturday in connection with the alleged abuse of a minor earlier that day at Mariner Towers on the city’s Lower West Side, Buffalo police reported.

Hassan Khokar, 23, was charged with second-degree sexual assault (a class D felony), second-degree sexual abuse (a class A misdemeanor), and endangering the welfare of a child.

According to the report, Central District officers responded to an abuse call around 4 p.m. on Saturday, alleging that a 13-year-old girl had been abused after smoking marijuana with a man.
