Five people arrested after brawl involving 150 people at a Mt. Pleasant funeral home

RACINE, Wisconsin – Around noon Saturday, a serious brawl broke out at the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home, involving 150 people and a man with a gun in his hand.

Mt. Pleasant police responded, but before they could reach the funeral home, a caller reported that one of the suspects began firing a gun.

When officers arrived, they arrested the person with the gun. After further investigation, police arrested four more people “for involvement and scuffle,” according to a press release from the MPPD.

One of those arrested suffered a medical emergency and was transported to the hospital by the South Shore Fire Department. He was later acquitted and taken to the Racine County Jail.

According to the press release, the MPPD stated that this was an isolated case and that there was no danger to the public.

The Racine County Sheriff’s Office, Racine, Caledonia and Kenosha city police departments, and the South Shore Fire Department assisted the MPPD with the incident.
