Woman who accused Yediyurappa of sexually abusing his daughter dies

The woman who had accused former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa of sexually abusing her minor daughter died at a hospital in Hulimavu, Bengaluru on Sunday, May 26.

She had gone to the hospital with her daughter and had reported weakness. The News Minute reported. After some time, the daughter was informed that her mother had died. Her body was taken away by her son and brother without an autopsy being performed.

An activist who worked with the woman said: “Three days ago she had asked to meet a lawyer who would take over the case. She was supposed to meet him on Monday and that’s how it happened.”

On March 14, she filed a complaint under Section 8 (sexual assault) of the POCSO and Section 354A (assault or use of criminal force against a woman) of the Indian Penal Code at the Sadashivanagar police station.

The woman accused Yediryurappa of sexually abusing her minor child when they went to his house to seek help. On February 2, the senior politician took the minor child to a room and sexually abused her, the woman alleged.
