Teenager and another person shot in Cordova, police say | News

MEMPHIS, Tennessee – Two people, including a 15-year-old girl, were shot early Friday morning in Cordova, police reported.

According to the Memphis Police Department (MPD), officers responded to a location in the 8500 block of Chimneyrock Boulevard just minutes before 6:30 a.m.

When officers arrived, two people who had been shot were in critical condition, police said.

While one was taken to the hospital, the other was transported to St. Francis Hospital by private vehicle, MPD said.

The investigation into the incident, which occurred near Chimneyrock Elementary School, is ongoing, police said.
