Houston Police: Officers Investigate Report of Parental Abduction

​​The following are excerpts from reports recently generated by the Houston Police Department:

Between May 13 and 19, the Houston Police Department responded to 225 calls for service and initiated 57 traffic stops, resulting in 16 citations and 58 warnings.

  • On May 13, officers investigated a truancy issue in Houston’s R-1 school district. A report will be forwarded to the Texas County Juvenile Office for review.
  • On May 13, Rebecca L. Buckland, 23, of Licking, was issued a citation for passing a school bus while loading/unloading passengers.
  • On May 14, officers investigated a report of a parental abduction. The child was then returned and a report will be forwarded to the Texas County Prosecutor.
  • On May 15, officers responded to the 300 block of W. Mill Street for a domestic dispute. A 60-year-old woman was arrested and taken to the Texas County Jail. A report was forwarded to the Texas County Prosecutor for formal Assault 3 charges.rd Diploma (special victim) and resisting arrest.
  • On May 16, officers responded to a traffic sign struck by a vehicle near Houston R-1 School. An unknown vehicle struck the sign and then left the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
  • On May 18, officers arrested Thomas E. Williams, 40, of Waynesville, on an active Howell County arrest warrant for failure to appear on original charges of driving while revoked, non-financial responsibility and failure to display registration plates on a motor vehicle. . Williams was transported to the Texas County Jail, where he was attempting to post the $1,500 bond.
  • On May 19, a 43-year-old man was arrested for persistent DWI following a traffic stop. A report will be forwarded to the Texas County Attorney for formal charges.
