Softball Game Recap: Houston Academy Triumphs

With a playoff game on the line, Houston Academy took on the challenge Monday. They won against the Madison County Tigers by a score of 9-4. Winning may never get old, but Houston Academy is certainly getting used to it with its third in a row.

For Madison County’s part, Livy Huter and Anna Sanders have taken over in a big way. Huter went 2-for-3 with a triple and an RBI, while Sanders scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Another player who made the difference was Sydney Gurley, who scored a point while going 1-for-2.

Houston Academy has performed incredibly well recently as they have won 28 of their last 29 games, which was a nice improvement from their 45-3 record this season. As for Madison County, their loss dropped their record to 38-10.

Houston Academy has no more games scheduled at this time. As for Madison County, they will stay on the road Monday to take on Prattville Christian Academy at 6:10 p.m. Madison County is strutting around with some scoring muscle as they have averaged 8.2 points per game this season.
