I-10W closed near Vinton due to broken-down semi-trailer

VINTON, Louisiana (KPLC) – The left lane of westbound I-10 is closed just outside Vinton due to a stranded semi-truck, according to the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development. The backup reaches four miles long, so motorists heading west through Vinton may want to take an alternate route.

Earlier today, the right lane at the Toomey-Starks exit was closed after an accident involving a semi-truck. Video sent by a KPLC viewer shows the semi-truck in a ditch and a crane trying to clear it. The video also shows heavy traffic congestion.
