2 men arrested for shoplifting at Atlanta Dollar Tree, fighting with police officer – WSB-TV Channel 2

ATLANTA — Atlanta police arrested two men accused of shoplifting early Sunday morning after one of them fought with a police officer.

On Sunday, June 9, around 4 a.m., officers were dispatched to the Dollar Tree store, located at 906 Ralph D. Abernathy Blvd. SW to a report of a burglar inside a business.

When police arrived, they saw a man leaving the store with a school bag.

A police officer attempted to arrest the suspect, but the man with the satchel fought with the officer.

The officer used his Taser on the suspect and arrested him.

A witness gave police a description of a second man and they were able to arrest him at a nearby gas station.

The two men stole merchandise from Dollar Tree and were charged.

Police have not identified the two men.
