Serial thief posing as medical personnel in Galveston-Houston area, search underway

HOUSTON – Authorities need your help searching for a thief who was caught on camera posing as a medical professional.

According to the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB), the unidentified thief is linked to several thefts at different hospitals and clinics in the Houston-Galveston area.

Police say she typically wears medical clothing such as “smocks or administrative clothing such as a long-sleeved button-down shirt.”

The thief also often wears a mask and an official-looking ID badge to go unnoticed.
