Wargasm are in a collaborative mood. Over the last year, the British electro-punk duo have collaborated with everyone from Fred Durst of Limp Bizkit to Bad Omens, Ho99o9 and Crossfaith. Today (July 12), Sam Matlock and Milkie Way have unveiled their latest collaboration – and it’s a big one, featuring the man, the myth, the legend Corey Taylor of Slipknot.

The song is called “70% Dead” and is a rave metal banger reminiscent of Prodigy and Atari Teenage Riot. Spin it up on YouTube above.

Ahead of the single’s release, Wargasm previewed “70% Dead” with audio of a voice message in which Way suggests to Matlock, “Why don’t you call the guy you really like? The screaming guy?”

It wasn’t a completely outlandish idea: Wargasm have a certain history with this “screaming guy” who toured with Taylor in 2023 to promote his second solo album, which will be released this year. CMF2.

“Damn it,” said Matlock Kerrang! about meeting the Slipknot singer. “When I first met Corey Taylor at that festival in Florida, I just had to go to the dressing room because my face was breaking. It was frozen and I couldn’t smile. It wasn’t a good sight.”
