Man flown by helicopter to Wichita hospital after accident in Milford Lake

A male offender was flown by helicopter to a hospital in Wichita on Wednesday afternoon after being struck by a boat propeller in the water.

Geary County Emergency Management reported on Facebook that emergency vehicles were dispatched to East Rolling Hills on Milford Lake around noon today and found an injured man in the water. Bystanders on the scene treated the injured man until emergency responders arrived.

The person was then flown by Lifestar rescue helicopter to a hospital in Wichita for further treatment.

Junction City Fire/EMS, Geary County Sheriff, Geary County Emergency Management, Kansas Wildlife and Parks, Corp of Engineers and Lifestar arrived at the scene. Kansas Wildlife and Parks is leading the investigation.
