Victim shot dead in SoMa on Friday evening

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A victim died at a local hospital after being shot in San Francisco Friday night, San Francisco police said.

The shooting occurred around 7:13 p.m. in the 1200 block of Mission Street. Officers performed CPR on the victim, who was taken to a hospital where he died.

Officers identified and arrested a possible suspect. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.

The previous Friday, there was another shooting just blocks from where the fatal shooting occurred. San Francisco Police responded to a shooting in the area between 11th and Norfolk Streets at 2:34 p.m., in which one victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
