Man found dead in garage in Northampton

According to police, an autopsy revealed that the shooting was a murder.

ST. LOUIS — Last Monday, June 3, a man was found shot to death in St. Louis’ Northampton neighborhood. Following the results of an autopsy, St. Louis police opened a homicide investigation.

According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, officers responded to a “suspected sudden death” shortly before 2:30 p.m. on June 3 after a man was found with a head wound in a garage in the 5000 block of Lindenwood Avenue. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

On June 4, the medical examiner’s office informed the Homicide Division that the victim, 25-year-old Christopher Gray of St. Louis, suffered a gunshot wound to the head and his death was ruled a homicide. The Homicide Division took over the investigation.

As of Monday morning, there were no details about what led to the shooting or whether police have suspects.

The Bullet Related Injury Clinic (BRIC) is a community-based clinic in St. Louis that helps people recover from a gunshot injury. The BRIC was created to help people being discharged from the emergency room after a gunshot injury.
