Pikeville police investigate car break-in

PIKEVILLE, Ky. (WYMT) – On Friday, May 31, Pikeville Police were notified of a car break-in on Second Street.

The victim stated that numerous items were stolen from the vehicle.

Pikeville police officials said they are still in the early stages of the investigation.

When asked what could be done to prevent such crimes, the officers replied that people should not leave any objects in the car and always lock it after parking.

Officers are asking anyone with information that could lead to a possible arrest to call Pikeville Police at 606-437-5111 so they can remain anonymous.
